Two Ways to Learn

Manta Dive Gili Trawangan offer two flexible formats to match your vacation schedule and training goals:

Option 1: Theory-Only Certification

Perfect if you are short on time or want to complete your certification before a big liveaboard trip. You will cover all the academics, learn how to analyze tanks at our facility, and earn your license without needing to hit the ocean.

Option 2: Full Course with 2 Ocean Dives

The ultimate way to build confidence. After mastering the classroom and practical tank analysis, you'll join us for two spectacular boat dives around the Gilis, experiencing firsthand how Nitrox extends your dive profiles.

What can I expect if I book a Nitrox Diver Specialty Course?

1- Master Enriched Air Theory:
Unpack the physics of diving with higher oxygen levels. You’ll learn how reducing your nitrogen intake extends your no-decompression limits, how to use Nitrox dive tables, and how to safely manage your oxygen exposure.

2- Hands-On Gas Analysis:
Safety is everything with Nitrox. You will get comfortable using a digital oxygen analyzer to test your own scuba cylinder, verifying the exact percentage of oxygen before signing our shop's official tank log.

3- Program Your Dive Computer:
A Nitrox tank is only safe if your gear is on the same page. You'll learn how to program your specific oxygen percentage into your personal dive computer so it can accurately calculate your extended bottom time and maximum operating depth (MOD).

General terms for operation

PLEASE NOTE - there is no pickup available from your hotel - just make your own way to Manta Dive Gili Trawangan.

Daily (with seasonal exceptions), subject to availability.
Staff will receive your booking and reconfirm within 24hrs.
Occasionally, the dates selected may no longer be available. In such cases, every effort will be made to accommodate you with a date change or alternative option.

Diving Course Terms & Conditions

Requirements

To participate in this course, you must:

Hold a valid Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent).
Be at least 10 years old.
Complete a Medical Statement before diving. If you answer "Yes" to any medical question, written clearance from a doctor is required before arrival. Failure to provide required medical clearance may result in being unable to participate, with no refund.
Have valid dive insurance covering diving activities.
Be able to complete a 180m swim and a 10-minute survival float without aids.
Wait at least 24 hours after your final dive before flying or travelling to altitude.

Course Limits & Completion

Your maximum depth depends on your certification level, the oxygen percentage in your tank, your maximum operating depth, PPO2 limits, dive computer settings, and the dive conditions on the day.
All courses are performance-based, and certification is awarded at the instructor's discretion.
If a course cannot be completed, referral paperwork may be provided.

Course fees

Course prices include all equipment, instructor fees, and boat fees.
Course prices exclude the Marine Park Fee (Rp100,000 per person), payable on-site.

Amendments and Cancellations & Fees

Booking dates may be changed free of charge, subject to availability.
Courses may be rescheduled in cases of illness, subject to availability.
Diving courses are non-refundable.
We are not liable for cancellations due to illness, family matters, missed flights, travel changes, or force majeure events.
