General
“Gilibookings.com” means the domain name used under license by Island Bookings B.V., a registered company in the Netherlands. Gilibookings.com acts as booking agent for booking hotels and other services on the website www.gilibookings.com (the “Site”).
By using and/or visiting the Site for making fast boat bookings you agree to these General Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use and Site Use (“the Terms”) and you expressly consent and agree to be bound by the Terms and all applicable laws and regulations that govern this Site and your booking.
As we are an affiliate of Agoda.com and Booking.com, for Hotel bookings please refer to their Terms and Conditions, Privacy Statement and any other information on their respective websites.
References to “accommodation providers” means the owner/providers of the hotels, apartments, villas and other accommodation of any description featured on this website and “accommodation” means the accommodation including all facilities and services advertised on the Site that Gilibookings.com has agreed to arrange in connection with your confirmed booking.
References to “other service providers” or “other services” means the owner/providers of the fast boat companies, whose tickets are available on this site, as well as the owner/provider of diving centres and other providers of tourist activities and/or services that are advertised on this site.
Important Information
Gilibookings.com acts as a booking agent only in respect of all bookings made on Gilibookings.com. Gilibookings.com has entered into contracts with the service providers on our website. These contracts ensure that the service providers will act in the best possible way towards the customers of Gilibookings.com. This means that in the unlikely event there is a problem with a customers booking, e.g Hotel overbooking, or a mechanical problem with a boat, the service provider will seek to resolve the situation to the customers satisfaction at no added cost to the customer. i.e. Sourcing a room of equal standard in a suitable location, or arranging another boat company to transport the passengers. In the unlikely event that the service provider cannot fulfil the customers requirements Island Bookings B.V. will issue a full refund (minus any charges to make the refund - see cancellation poilcy below for more info) to the customer, where a a payment has been made.
Gilibookings.com undertakes no responsibility for, and are not liable for, the misrepresentations, breaches of contract, breaches of statutory duty or negligence of any of the accommodation providers and other suppliers of services whose products and services are sold through us. This means that in the event of you suffering personal injury, illness or death as a result of any act or omission of an accommodation provider or other supplier of services (or their employees or agents) or you having any complaint about the quality of the services provided or having any other complaint at all, your sole right of redress will be against the independent third party who provided such service and Gilibookings.com will be under no liability at all (whether in contract, tort or otherwise howsoever).
You accept that Gilibookings.com has not in any way selected or assembled your travel arrangements for you. Your accommodation and travel arrangements and other services are not a package and do not fall within the meaning of The package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992.
By proceeding to book accommodation and/or other services through the Site, you accept that you will indirectly be entering into a contract with the accommodation and /or other service providers and therefore any claims or complaints should be made directly with the accommodation and /or service provider. In the event of any claims or complaints please also contact us at info@gilibookings.com .
You understand that Gilibookings.com may not have conducted any quality or other checks on the accommodation providers or other service providers and Gilibookings.com makes no representations about the suitability of the accommodation and/or services offered for sale through the Site. The inclusion or offering for sale of an accommodation and/or services by Gilibookings.com does not constitute an express or implied endorsement or recommendation by Gilibookings.com of such accommodation or services. Gilibookings.com does not guarantee the accuracy of, and disclaim liability for any inaccuracies relating to the accommodation and other services offered for sale through us.
Nothing in these terms of use shall operate to exclude or limit the liability of Gilibookings.com for fraudulent misrepresentation or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Where you, or any of the people that you are booking on behalf of, are in breach of any of the provisions of these Terms or contravention of any laws or rights of a third party, Gilibookings.com reserves the right to cancel your booking without refund or compensation in any way and recover from you any costs incurred as a result of your behaviour.
Site content, documentation and booking information.
Gilibookings.com may modify the content of the Site and/or Terms at any time, and such modification shall be effective immediately upon posting of the modified content and/or Terms on the Site and your continued use of or access to this website will be deemed to indicate your acceptance of the modified content and/or Terms.
Any information placed on the Site relating to hotels or other service providers advertised on the Site including, but without limitation, details of the hotel/service provider, availability, price of the services, the facilities available, any accreditations afforded to the hotel and/or any details relating to any other services advertised on the Site have been provided by the accommodation and/or service providers who are independent businesses and are not agents or employees of Gilibookings.com or its affiliates. Such information does not constitute any advice or recommendation given by Gilibookings.com and Gilibookings.com shall not be held liable for inaccuracies or errors in the accommodation contents or any of its elements. These independent businesses provide the services in accordance with their own terms and conditions (excluding cancellations policy detailed below) which may limit or exclude their liability to you. Gilibookings.com and its affiliates are not liable for any acts, omissions, breaches or negligence of any such independent businesses or any damages or expenses resulting from the aforesaid. Gilibookings.com and its affiliates are not liable for any refunds in the event of overbooking or force majeure or any other cause beyond their control.
As Gilibookings.com acts as a booking agent, Gilibookings.com will have no responsibility for any errors in any documentation except where those errors were made by Gilibookings.com.
Confirmation
To confirm a booking, you must be authorised to make the booking by all persons named on the booking and their parent or guardian for all party members who are under 18 when the booking is made. By making the booking, you are confirming that all persons named on the booking accept the Terms and that you will inform the other persons named on the booking of the confirmation details and any other appropriate information. By making the booking you also become responsible for making all payments due under the booking.
You will receive an email confirmation of your bookings.
All accommodation bookings made through www.agoda.com require full payment at the time of booking in order to confirm a reservation. For accommodation bookings made through www.booking.com, no booking fees/deposits are required to make a confirmed reservation; although a credit card number is necessary to make a reservation.
Island Bookings B.V. will take full payment for Fast Boat tickets booked through gilibookings.com.
Island Bookings B.V. will not take any payment for any diving services or services from other service providers.
If you cancel, amend or change a booking
Amendment Policy
Accommodation and Other Service Amendment Policy:
For accommodation bookings see the Terms and Conditions on www.agoda.com or www.booking.com.
For other service providers you may contact them directly. Contact information will be detailed on the confirmation email you will receive immediately after you make a booking through the Site.
If you amend your booking, there may be an amendment fee levied by the accommodation or other service provider, which may alter the final bill you will need to pay to the hotel. In any event, if you fail to amend your booking in accordance with the provider's amendment policy, you may be charged an amendment fee by the accommodation or other service provider.
Activities and Tours Amendment Policy
Amendment policies vary per activity/tour, so please check the 'Terms & Conditions' of the activity or tour you are booking, on the respective activity/tour page, for the specific policy that applies to your booking.
Fast Boats Amendment Policy:
If you wish to change your travel dates, you can do so for free (subject to availability), up to 48hrs* prior to departure. Simply contact the boat company (details on your e-ticket) to request the date change.
If you need to change your route or boat carrier entirely, please contact us (info@gilibookings.com) directly for assistance, bearing in mind the below-mentioned refund policies.
* For Gili Getaway: 96 hours prior to departure for high season (1 Jul - 30 Sept).
* For Einstein Fast Boat: 72 hours prior to departure for high season (1 June - 30 September, D-3 & D+3 Silent Day, 15 Dec - 15 Jan ). Rescheduling is allowed only once.
Cancellation Policy
Accommodation Cancellation Policy:
For accommodation bookings please refer to the cancellation policies detailed on www.agoda.com or www.booking.com, depending on which affilaite partner you have booked your accommodation through.
Activities and Tours Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation policies vary per activity/tour, so please check the 'Terms & Conditions' of the activity or tour you are booking, on the respective activity/tour page, for the specific policy that applies to your booking.
Should the cancellation policy of the specific tour/activity you have booked allow for a refund, this will be paid directly from Gilibookings.com (minus any charges applied to make the refund); administration and cancellation charges applied to all cancellations will be equivalent to 10% of the amount being refunded
*Should you fail to show up for a booked ferry service, tour/activity, accommodation booking, or any other booking with other service providers, you will be considered as a 'No-Show'. In such cases, where no prior notification has given to the service provider, No-Shows will be considered as cancellations for all service providers.
When notifying other service providers of a cancellation, please copy the email to info@gilibookings.com so that we can process your refund (if applicable). All necessary contact information is detailed on your e-ticket or in the email confirmation sent to you for your booking.

FOR ALL BOAT COMPANIES:
When notifying the fast boat companies of a cancellation please copy the email to info@gilibookings.com so that we can process your refund when applicable. All the contact information is detailed on the email confirmation sent to you for your booking.
For cancellations, in cases of unexpected illness etc., exceptions can be considered if doctor's notes/other proof can be provided. Contact the boat company using their details found on your e-tickets (please copy the email to info@gilibookings.com).
Payment
All boat tickets are paid for in full on Gilibookings.com. For hotel bookings, it depends on which of our affilaite partners' websites you use.
Agoda.com - you will be charged in full at the time of booking. For any changes, cancellations or refunds please refer to the Agoda.com terms and conditions.
Booking.com - you pay directly at the hotel. No booking fees/deposits are required to make a reservation; although a credit card number is necessary to make a reservation.
Age and responsibility
You warrant that you are 18 years of age or over and have legal capacity to use the Site and to create a legally binding contract.
You warrant that all personal information submitted during booking is correct and you accept financial responsibility for all transactions made under your name or account.
You hereby authorise Gilibookings.com to process all Personal Information about you and the persons named on the booking that has been obtained in connection with your booking. Personal information shall be deemed to include, but not be limited to: any telephone numbers, fax numbers, email addresses, addresses of residences, signatures, ID or passport copies, or any other information belonging to you or your group.
The Personal Information that Gilibookings.com collects shall be obtained, processed and transmitted in compliance with European Directives 95/46 and 2002/58, as well as any other such legislation that substitutes, complements and develops it. Before you travel
Gilibookings.com is not liable for damages or losses that may result from travel to any particular destination. The Government of your country may help travellers stay safe overseas. Check with your government for the latest advice on conditions and general information concerning specific countries.
It is your responsibility to ensure you have the relevant travel and health documents before departure for the country you are visiting, which shall include, but is not limited to, any inoculations that may be required, identification and passport. Gilibookings.com shall not be liable for any expense incurred resulting from your missing, incomplete or incorrect documentation or any non-compliance with requirements.
Insurance
You are strongly advised to take out adequate travel insurance prior to arriving in your destination. It is your responsibility to check you have adequate insurance cover. The insurance should cover, amongst other things, the cost of cancellation by you, personal losses, all medical costs and the costs of assistance including return to the your country of residence in the event of an accident or illness.
Force Majeure
Gilibookings.com will not be liable for any changes, cancellation, effect on your booking, loss or damage suffered by you or for any failure by the accommodation or other service providers and/or Gilibookings.com to perform or properly perform any of our respective obligations to you which is due to any event(s) or circumstance(s) if the non performance is caused by force majeure. By way of example force majeure includes, but is not limited to, war, revolution, terrorist act, closure of borders, epidemic, natural catastrophe or other causes that seriously affect both parties and other unforeseeable causes beyond Gilibookings.com's control.
Complaints or issues with your accommodation
In the unlikely event that you have reason to complain or experience any problems with your accommodation or other service provider please inform their staff or management immediately, to enable them to take appropriate action. Please can you also contact us with the details, any company receiving multiple legitimate complaints will be removed from Gilibookings.com

Currency rates are based on various publicly available sources and are only updated daily; as such they cannot be guaranteed as completely accurate and should be used as guidelines only. Actual rates may vary and you may wish to verify these with a qualified professional.
Legislation and Courts of Jurisdiction
This agreement will be governed by Dutch law and any disputes will be dealt with by the Dutch courts.
