Minimum Open Water Diver Certification required

- 5 Open Water dives
- two- or three-day program
- Underwater Navigation Dive, Deep Dive (30m) are compulsory.

What can I expect if I book an Advanced Open Water Course?
One day before your course: Course orientation at 5pm. Meet the instructor and fellow students, fill in paperwork, half an hour.
Example schedule:
Day 1: 8.00am – 5.00pm 2 Dives
Day 2: 8.00am – 5.00pm 2 Dives + a night dive between 6:00pm - 8.30pm
Note: There will be plenty of time between dives to go and relax, to the beach, have lunch, etc. If you wish to take a night dive it could be on either day between 6pm - 8pm
This course aims to make you an allround better diver by improving your general diving skills, air consumption, buoyancy control and by teaching you to be more aware while under water. You will learn Underwater Navigation, Deep Diving and 3 other specialty diving skills that you can choose yourself (see list below). The course will take 2-3 days in which you will do a total of 4 dives and the maximum depth of diving will be 30 meters.
General terms for operation
PLEASE NOTE - there is no pickup available from your hotel - just make your own way to Manta Dive Gili Trawangan.
- Daily (with seasonal exceptions), subject to availability.
- Staff will receive your booking and reconfirm within 24hrs.
- Occasionally, the dates selected may no longer be available. In such cases, every effort will be made to accommodate you with a date change or alternative option.
Diving Course Terms & Conditions
Requirements
- Hold a valid Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent).
- Be at least 12 years old.
- Complete a Medical Statement before diving. If you answer "Yes" to any medical question, written clearance from a doctor is required before arrival. Failure to provide required medical clearance may result in being unable to participate, with no refund.
- Have valid dive insurance covering diving activities.
- Be able to complete a 180m swim and a 10-minute survival float without aids.
- Wait at least 24 hours after your final dive before flying or travelling to altitude.
Course Limits & Completion
- Ages12–14: Maximum depth of 21 metres (Junior Advanced Open Water certification).
- Ages 15+: Maximum depth of 30 metres.
- All courses are performance-based, and certification is awarded at the instructor's discretion.
- Instructors may adjust dive depths and training activities based on age, experience, confidence, ability, and diving conditions.
- If a course cannot be completed, referral paperwork may be provided.
Course fees
- Course prices include all equipment, instructor fees, and boat fees.
- Course prices exclude the Marine Park Fee (Rp150,000 per person), payable on-site.
Amendments and Cancellations & Fees
- Booking dates may be changed free of charge, subject to availability.
- Courses may be rescheduled in cases of illness, subject to availability.
- Diving courses are non-refundable.
- We are not liable for cancellations due to illness, family matters, missed flights, travel changes, or force majeure events.
